Object Parts

Dear all,
I would like to understand the exact use of object parts ( in catalogs ) ...  What kind of reports can be generated for object parts?  Can object parts be used to represent the technical structure of Equipments in greater detail? Or Can Object Parts be substituted for Sub-Equipments or BOMs..  Can't we get the breakdown reports based on materials of BOMs for that particular technical object instead of going for object parts? If yes, how?

Appreciate your valuable responses.

Thanks & Regards,

Object part can be any spare/part of equipment where you identify the damage.

If you record object part in notification then that can be help to analyze in future.(eg. breakdown analysis.)

Object type can be used to represent technical structure not object part.

Object part is not substitute for BOM or assembly. Object part can only be use for analysis purpose.

Hi,

You can check object Damage Analysis through TC- MCI5 at all level like Sup.or Sub Equipment.

If you have captured equipment part as a object part (e.g. shaft , fan ) and you have recorded object part in notification for malfunction /activity. In future you can analyze how many times you/EAM crew face problem on that object part for peace of equipment.so that you can plan /re plan preventive/predictive maintenance for the piece of equipment or take corrective action avoid such kind of problem in future.
