hello,
i want to define following number range -
00000001-09999999
10000000-99999999 - ex
the system already has sm ranges defined.i tried to delete those n create new ones......the mssg is - deletion only possible is status is initial.
what does initial status over here mean. clicking on the same gives the following procedure. how do i branch into status maintenance?
Procedure
1. Branch to number status maintenance.
2. Set the number status to '0'.
3. Branch to interval maintenance.
4. Delete the interval.
Hi,
In t-code PA04, please click on the "Status" button and then change the "Current Number" to 0 and try deleting.
Hope this helps,

you can define the number range you want to use for those two companies
say for ex: 10000-20000 for company x
and then 30000-40000 for company y
this u can do by split/creating these number range intervals of your choice in tcode pa04 But assigning these number ranges to ur ompanies you can do it in tcode pe03 feature NUMKR. in that feature u have to default the number range as a return value by assigning the Number range intervals no from pa04.
but what abt initial status...what does tht mean??
