Number of resources consumed ?

Experts,

For 100 identical machines, single resource is created with n=100 in capacity tab.

Requirement is, during process order creation, system should provide a provision for entering the actual number of m/c to be consumed. e.g before saving user has to enter number of machine required for a single machine out of 100 machine.

How to achieve such requirement, if enhancement req. than suggest .

If for that particular work center standard value key check if any of the parameter is available if it is create one parameter with No. of Machine used & ask user to enter same at the time of confirmation.

If it is not available modify screen of C011n to capture the m/c used. You can take help of you Abaper. Go to OPK0 there in Details screen 0900 Freely definable screen 1 is available for development.

I need to know out of 100, how many resources user want to use. when system find 100 avaialble capacity it assign whole load to it by considering capacities avaialble( let say sytem reserves 10 capacities), what user want is to not let the system decide/assign the capacities rather user should have option to decide/assign out of 100, e.g he want 3 m/cs reserved for a week.

This all should be done at process order creation level not at confirmation.This u can say is like a resource allocation process, how to accommodate ?

Sorry I misread your Q. I think this allocation you have to do manually only. Can you check the functionality of operation split. Generally if we do not split operation for work center which have many individual capacity system book one 1 individual capacity. If you split the operation then resources are booked for the no. of operation split. If you split operation in 10 then 10 individual capacity will be booked.

Appreciate ur respose, u r quite right to use split functionality, i agree. But again iam having process order not the prd. orders, spliting the operation is not possible in PP PI, i dont know why SAP does so. I really want operation spit functionality in process orders thats why i am expecting some enhancement kinda thing. More suggestion needed...

Yes You are correct operation split is not in PPPI. I am not aware if any such enhancement is available to split the capacity in PPPI.
