Anyone know of a way to have the tasks automatically copy into the Work Order as operations?

Hi

you need to use user exit to get this automatic functionality.

user exit.

IWO10020: Automatically include task list

IWO10021: Automatic task list transfer when creating order from notification

Will it pick up Tasks - not general task lists - tasks with catalog codes in the notificiation? Or even Items, or some of the others?

There is no one to one relationship in standard. You will have to use the above user exit to accomplish the same. You will have to develop the creation of Operations for each and every task associated to the notification using the above mentioned user exit.Be-aware that this kind of integration has its dis-advantages unless its properly designed and proper business process is followed by the end user.

What about Catalog codes? For example, I want entries in "Items" to be copied over. Would it be easier? (being that the tasks function is more complex)

We have done this on a past project

But be warned, it is not as simple as it looks. As stated above, you need to carefully design your solution taking into account every possible scenario e.g. deleted operations or tasks. You will also need to consider exception management.
