New Service Tax Implem. Error

Hello,

As you know, Service tax rate is changed to 10% from 12% ,I want to keep both of previous rate & present rate based on the date tax applied for.

I want that my system will calculate the Service tax as on the basis of Bill creation date & service tax rate of that date.

But, when I was trying to create another service tax rate with presence of old one,the system showing me error like--- "Could not commit Transaction Sales Tax Authorities(OSTA)"

How will I do this?

Under the tax codes> set up, you can highlight the tax code and choose tax definition. Add a new valid cdate and value, so the code will calculate properly based on document date.

There should be no need to add a whole new code?

To keep both tax rates working, a new tax code is mandatory.

Hello,

It's working.

But I want to calculate the Service tax based on Document Date , not on Posting date.

How will I define?

That may not be possible. Posting date is also called tax date. It is built-in to system logic. You could calculate your own UDF. However, it doesn't give you option to override system function.

Thanks,

Gordon

Hello Subrata,

Check your newly created tax code. Something must be wrong with this code.

Thanks,
