New field in transaction FBL5N

Hi Gurus,

I have a problem in adding a field in the "additional selection" for transaction FBL5N. I I read in some messages I did the following operations:

- transaction SE36: database --> DDF

- structure button --> display

Go to Extras --> selection views

I created a new view (CUStom) as copy of SAP standard. I Change, in this custom views, the "table field" for the field "Bank Key" (BANKL); I inserted it in functional group 01 (Customer master).

But I can't see the field for the selection in report RFITEMAR (FBL 5N).

Someone knows why?

Thanks,

Marco

HI Marco,

Not so sure on why it didn't work. DDF is the logical database being used by FBL5N. Not to mention why but it is the one that can be seen in the attributes of the report RFITEMAR. Are you sure you have save it correctly? I don't think that functional group would make it work but can you try adding it in functional group 03.

Please reply back if it works.

Sorry but it doesn't work.

I have assigned to field KNBK.BANKL to functional group 03, as you suggest.I have correctly saved the new view.

But in report RFITEMAR, if I push the button "Dynamic selection" I can't see the field I added. I also tried with o without the flag "Preselect.". Moreover, I re-generate report RFITEMAR in transaction SE 38 (CRTL + F3) but the results are the same. I can't see the field in the dynamic selection of report.

Where I do a mistake? What is missing?

Thanks,

Marco

Sorry but this don't solve my problem. As wrote in the prevoius message I have already done all these steps.

Probably are there problems with table KNBK?

Thanks

Hi Marco,

I think you are right about your point wherein you need to add KNBK in the dynamic selection. I'll try to find an OSS note for this and inform you in case I found something wherein to add a table in the report group.

Hi Marco,

Extras> Dynamic Selection is the same as clicking the button dynamic selection in your FBL5n report.

If my instruction didn't work at all, can you check from the other table if you can view that field from other table. Other than KNBK.

If that field can be seen in other table, try again the instruction that I sent you.

I'm really sorry but this is the only way to modify a standard report, otherwise you need to create a custom report as per your requirement.

I have done all the steps for table KNA1 and it works correctly (the field is added in dynamic selection in FBL5N). For table KNBK it doesn't work.

This is the standard behaviour of the system; he only table that can be used are the ones contained in Extras-->Dynamic Selection.

I have found the reason for which I can't see the field. The only fields that can be seen are the one that belong to tables included in EXTRAS --> DYNAMIC SELECTION.

So the "new" question is this: is it possible, in your opinion, add a table to the ones that can be used for dynamic selection?

Thanks in advance

Marco
