Negative Stock

Hi,

We have a current set up in which the negative stock is not be allowed in a storage type. (Warehouse management >Interfaces>Inventory Management>Allow negative stock in interim, storage bin

But still, the system is allowing neagtive stock in this particular storage type.

Also in the control of system messages no message category has been defined for L9-040. Is there any relation of this?

Could you please give your inputs as to why this is happening?

Hi,

Please check the following customization

SPRO>>Logistics Execution>>Warehouse Management>>Master Data>>Define Storage Type

In this selection , postion on respective warehouse and storage type and chcek whether negative stocks are allowed in dicator is ticked for stock removal strategy.

Also check

SPRO>>Logistics Execution>>Warehouse Management>>Activities>>Define Stock Transfers and Replenishment Control

Here maintain 1 as replinishment control.

Hi,

If you do not want to allow negative inventory in storage type R11

please check the message L9040 via transaction SM31 in table T160M and

make sure it is an E (or W for a warning message). You can also follow

the IMG path:

Warehouse Management -> Interfaces -> Inventory Management -> Allow
