Hi Friends,
I have a query that what is the exact PCD link to be maintained to the resources ?
Below is the screenshot for your reference:
In the above screen we maintain the PCD link from the below path:
Content Administration / Portal Content / Content Provided by SAP / End-user Content / Employee Self Services / ?
We can find the PCD links for any services in both Pages & Roles.
Lets say I am working on Who is who service, I can find the corresponding PCD link in both Pages / Roles.
Here my question is what is the next node, whether Page / Role ? Which PCD Link must be assigned to the Services in R/3 ?
Hi Deepak, Meera, Siddarth.
Thanks a lot for your response, I have got good idea now. But still a small doubt because of the two different answers from Deepak & Meera.
No issues, I will try the both.
Any links related to this much appreciated.
With warm regards,
Srikanth Naidu. Akula

Hi Srikanth,
You can also use the PCD path from page but sometimes when you do OBN usage or you copied the content from the standard delivery to your folder we face problems, the best way is to path from Role, if you do the PCD path using iview or page the application name may be missed out in path and it will cause navigation problem.
This is the experience that I got from the issue that I faced and it is recommendation, I dont think so whether we have a document which says to copy it from role or page.
Hope this clarifies you.
Regards,
Meera
well usually PCD urls are standard delivered and if you change any pcd location in the content folder
you would need to then adjust it as per the url
you can do a simple http trace and see whats the URL launched for your iview and then maintain it
But did you change any iview location etc?

Hi Shrikanth,
It is always recommended that you need to copy the path of the iview from the role, navigate from the role to your exact iview and double click on it, in properties copy the PCD path and paste it in resource table.
So as short copy the PCD content from the navigation of role.

Meera

Hello Srikant,
You can use the PCD path of the page of that application, that should be fine enough, The original location from where the application can be launched.
Best Regards,
Deepak.
