MRP Type V1 collecting requirments problem !!!

Dear Gurus,

I'm planning one of my components in the BOM with MRP Type V1: Manual reorder point with external requirments and lot size EX: lot for lot

I'm making the MRP type setting to take the requirments in the total horizon, and to consider order reservations.

Here is what happend with me:

- I made an order starting after 10 days which made a reservation

- I made another order starting after 15 days which made another reservation

- After running the MRP, it created ONLY ONE planned order covering both requirments !!!!

What I thought is that it should create two planned orders covering each requirment

Is the system's behvaiour normal or not, and what to be done to get my requirment done ?

Regards,

MaX

MaX,

Is the system's behavior normal

Yes

what to be done to get my requirement done ?

Expert Mario's answer is the way you would use if you wished to use standard SAP functionality, but you have rejected his solution.

If your business requirement was really to use a reorder point type of strategy, then you wouldn't want multiple planned orders, you would want the lowest number of supply elements that would get you back to the reorder point. So, I assume you want a hybrid solution that encompasses both consumption and MRP type planning. For this you must use enhancements. Have your ABAPers write custom code that will meet your needs.

Use MRP type PD. If you need, define also safety stock.

PD is not possible in my case....I don't need to plan it as MRP, I need it consumption based

Then you get only one planned order. This is how consumption based works.
