Dear Experts,

Our client is taking MRP run for the first time after Going Live.

Please guide us about

1. What are the pre-requisites to be checked prior to take MRP

.

2. What should be the step by step procedure to take MRP?

Along with Tcodes for the same

3. How to check the outcomes/results of MRP?

Best Regards,

Ashu

Hi,

MRP for the first time you need to Activate MRP for the plant, planning file entry has to be created. Check your plant parameters.

Run MRP in MD 01 online or MBDT in back ground with variance setup. For indivisula material use t.code md02.

Check md04 and md05 for the material for which there was a demand.

Hi,

TCode MD01 - online or MDBT - bacground processing

If you are running for the first time SAP recommends to do run with processing key NEUPL - Regenerative planning

Then check whether all the master data relevant to MRP has been corectly uploaded,Esp MRP types,in house prod time, external processing time etc

Then create/check planning file entry for all the material in that plant

From config side check OPPQ, whether MRP is activated for the plant parameters etc

Hi,

Planning file entry you will get in MD21,

And you want to check the result of MRP run you will get in MD04 and MD05.

Note if you want top check the result during MRP (MD02) run there is option at bottom of screen (Process control parameter)

there you have to mark- Display the result before they are saved and display the material list.

Hope clear to you.

Hi,

Click the below link for more details on how to proceed further.

http://www.sap-img.com/pp019.htm

If you are running in background, then in MDBT transaction, findout the background job on which this material is planned and click on show scheduling...this will give the MRP run date, how many requisitions or other documnets has been generated

Sankaran
