MRP column “stock in transit” after doing 101 for a 351

Dear all,

The MRP is creating transfer PO (without Shipping VL10B) from the plant 0001 to the own plant 0001 -5 units- (the process is like this). The process is to create a MIGO 351 for the good issue -5 units-. Them in the MD06 the MRP shows in the column “stock in transit”  the 5 units. OK

If I do a 101 for the good receipt, the column “stock in transit” it is always with the 5 units. However the stock is no in transit anymore.

This disturbs the key user. Some can tell me why the MRP shows in the column “stock in transit” the 5 units after doing the 101?

From the spro help: 351 Goods issue for a stock transport order (without Shipping).  The quantity is transferred from unrestricted-use stock in the issuing plant to stock in transit in the receiving plant. The goods issue for a stock transport order takes place using movement type 101.

Cheers,

marta

Hi Marta,

Are you using STO between two Storage Locations of the same plant?

Thanks

Hi Senthil,

Yes, I am in Brazil. The customer is doing a goods issue for a gift material. They use a Y99 movement created by copy of the 351 that goes to a special account in OBYC.

So the customer creates a transfer PO (without Shipping VL10B) from the plant 0001 to the own plant 0001, them MIGO 351. In the MD06 the MRP shows in the column “stock in transit”  the 351. If I do a 101 for the good receipt, the column “stock in transit” it is always with the 5 units. However the stock is no in transit anymore.

Cheers,

marta

You may have to post this question in MM forum.

In our process the sales order creates de needs. The MRP type PD with the Special procurement 40 Stock transfer (proc.from alter.plant) adapted by customizing creates the transfer PO.

My question is, always in MD06 screen:

If the MRP triggers a transfer PO, then the column “stock in transit” is zero.

We creates de goods issue in transfer, them the column “stock in transit” is with 5 unit.

If we create de goods receipt, it is normal that the column “stock in transit” stays with the 5 units? or it stays with zero unit? The user would like to see zero.

Cheers,

Hi Marta,

Special procurement key 40 should be used when we procure from another plant.

We would use '45' (Stock transfer from plant to MRP area) for STO within the plant.

As Jeevan suggested, you may wish to post this issue to the other forum  http://scn.sap.com/community/erp/logistics-mm

Yes it may not show zero, because MD06 (individual material MD05) displays MRP list which only shows the stock and requirement situation just after MRP run (in other words it shows the result of MRP run). It doesn't update goods movements/requirements dynamically.

If the MRP ran after the goods receipt (101) is done then you would see zero in the "stock in transit" column in MD06 (individual material MD05)

Solution: You need to train your user, to use MD07 (for individual material MD04).

               (Or)

Less preferred solution: run MRP (using MD02) for that material.

MD05/MD06

Look at the date and time below (that's the time MRP ran), if the goods receipt happened after this date and time then you will see the stock in transit.

MD04/MD07

This one pull up data as of current date and time.
