Dear PP expert,
Business requirement is
MRP will be run on plant for all the RM , PM & SFG on Daily basis
For all the other Engeneering and consumable items we need to run the MRP on MRP area level on weekly basis
I created the MRP area and it was assigned to all the ENGG. & CONS items. In MRP 1 view MRP type is ND. In the MRP area MRP type is VB.
But when I run the MRP on plant level, system is considering all the MRP area materials also into the account and its creating the PR.
How to exclude the MRP area material(s) in the plant level MRP run.
Regards,
Ismail.A
Ismail,
How to exclude the MRP area material(s) in the plant level MRP run.
You don't, unless you use enhancement.
For you business requirement, where you wish to use MRP areas to support different groupings, and different MRP run times/frequencies, you assign all of your products to MRP areas, one for 'ENG/CONS' materials, and one for 'everything but ENG/CONS' materials.
I really wonder if the business benefit (prevent MRP from being executed for ENG/CONS materials 6 days out of 7) is balanced by the cost/effort involved. Many companies just run MRP for everything in a plant. Daily. ENG/CONS materials are along for the ride.
If it is, however, important to you, there is a userexit available to modify MRP selection criteria. Speak to your developers.
Best Regards,

Dear Ismail,
In order to solve this issue you need to do the consistency check of the planning file. Though you have maintained MRP Type as ND but, still the materials will be included in the planning file. So, you need to delete the entries in the planning file
Below are the steps:
a) SPRO - IMG - PP - MRP - Planning - Planning file entry - Consistency Check
A screen appears
b) You can do the consisteny check at a later date & also immediately by selecting the selection variant
c) The system does the following check
- Does the material master still exist for the material?
- MRP is activated or not?
- Does the material has valid MRP Type?
- Does the low-level code exist for the material?
If any of the above criteria does not exist then the system will delete the entry.
Try this on your sand box & revert back about the results
Hope this will solve your issue
Regards
Kalyan

Dear Ismail,
Then please go to that MRP Area for each material and delete that MRP type, also you can exclude that storage location from planning by "Storage location stock excluded from MRP" in the MRP 4 screen in Storage location MRP field, revert back
