Hi
What are the pre-requisites for doing account maintenance (MR11)?
And can we avoid MR11 by doing matching of PO,GR & IR?
Please advise
regards
Hi
thanks for reply but 1 more question. Can we substitute MR11 with PO,GR & IR match that is if we dont do MR11 & just do the PO,GR,IR match then is it the same thing?
thanks in advance

hi,
Account maintainence is always done at the time when you can't have any further GR or any changes via debit/credit memo for the same....
So at that time, you have to do the maintainence of the account manually...
So, the answer to your question is YES....if you can do the PO, GR and IR for the proper maintenence then ofcourse you shd go for it.....otherwise do manually...
Hope the question is now totally clear...

You need a report that will list all of your POu2019s and show the total number of GRu2019s entered compared to the number of IRu2019s entered.
If the goods/services have been received and a GR was entered but no invoice has been processed yet, you will see it in the report generated by MR11.
This is particularly important when the GR entered is very old. We are at the fiscal year closing. By running this transaction looking specifically for this situation, if there are any, you will see them in your report.
If an invoice has been entered against one of your POu2019s before you had time to get the good/service verified and the GR entered, you will see it in the report generated by MR11.

The offsetting entry to clear the GR/IR account is the same as the posting made when you enter an invoice for a purchase order.
Material with Moving Average Price (MAP)
The GR/IR account is cleared against the stock account, unless no stock coverage exists. If the material stock is smaller than the quantity to be cleared, only the actual stock quantity is debited or credited proportionally. The remaining amount is posted to a price difference account.
Material with Standard Price
The offsetting entry is posted to a price difference account.
Purchase Orders Assigned to an Account
The offsetting entry is made to the cost or fixed asset account shown in the account assignments in the purchase order.
