ML81N, create permanent variant

Hello experts,

In ML81N, when I click configuration, I would like to create a variant which is visible to every user. The standard program is checking in the TCVIEW table by user, that's why I can just see the variants created by myself.

Do you know how I can do to create a variant and that every user can see this variant.

It's the Administrator variant.

thanks for your comment, I was clicking via Administrator and I do not find how I can do it. Do I have to create here a variant, for instance, zadmin and click on administraton button and then Activate?

I was trying this option and the rest of users cannot see my ZADMIN when they click f4 in the Variant.

No, you click on "Administrator", that's it. There's no variant name.

A variant is specific to one user.

A workaround to share a variant is to create a Variant Transaction, in which you can do something equivalent to a table control variant (SHD0) - I don't know if it's 100% equivalent.

I was trying via administrator but the request is to have two variants. Visible in the dropdown list, one for all the users (Basic Setting) and the second one only for a group of users (ABCD). They should be able to select one of these two. It looks like ABCD is only visible for me but not for the rest of uses, I checked via debugging that the standard codeis checking the table TCVIEW searching by the username I was logged in, sy-uname.

As far as I can see, I can create only one variant via administrator which will be visible for all the users. Do you know if the only way would be SHD0?

Yes, a variant is specific (I mean "can only be assigned") to one user.

If you want, you can create a custom program to duplicate the variant for other users.
