Dear Expert,

I am trying to extend material master to another plant and storage location using Migration Cockpit, I use Migration Object "Product - extend existing record by new org levels",

I fill in  Basic Data Sheet (Product Number, Run ID), Plant Data Sheet (Product Number, Run ID, Plant), Storage Location Sheet (Product Number, Run ID, Plant, Storage Location).

For Upload to Mapping Tasks steps are suceed, but for Simulate Steps, I got error message like this :

Migration Cockpit: Error: Instance XXXX skipped to avoid multiple updates

This issue already mentioned in SAP Note 3356771, is this migration object can not be used to upload case like I mentioned above?

Hi,

I think you need to run data loading multiple time to achieve this, using the RunID.

Product - extend existing record by new org levels | SAP Help Portal

Check out the link above, and the explanation of the RunID:

Run ID

On the Basic Data sheet and on all dependent sheets, you can find a Run ID key field. This field is a counter that you can use to run several enhancements for the same instance. You cannot import the same source record more than once in the same project. However, the Run ID field is an additional key field that lets you import the same product multiple times.

Example

In the first run, import product "A" with a new plant or sales area. Enter 1 in the Run ID field on the Basic Data sheet and in all dependent sheets.

In the second run, import product "A" again with another plant or sales area. Enter 2 in the Run ID field on the Basic Data sheet and in all dependent sheets that were already imported in the first run.

Hi Vincent, thank you. I already solved it yesterday, the problem with my template is in Basic Data, for Product 'A' I put several lines with different Run ID, that's why I got error.
