The user is able to make the changes in the price field while releasing the po. I want too make this field in display mode. In screen layout settings of po i checked, but could not find it for me29n. Pls advice.
This can be achived thru SPRO setting. Please go to IMG ==> MM ==> Purchasing ==> Purchase Order and click on Define Screen Layout at Document Level.
Search for ME21N and copy this to ME29N. Select ME29N and go to Quantity and Price selection group and then you can change "Price and Price unit" from Optional entry to Display.
Thanks for this useful post. I am trying to accomplish something similar. I added ME29N as a new screen layout. I am looking to make the 'tax code' field a required entry during po release. I able able to get it to work except that it only triggers the error on check if you attempt to make a change to the PO. Simply releasing the PO doesn't seem to trigger the field checks.
I have examples where I can release the PO and save even though the Tax Code is blank. Any ideas? What about ME28? Can some similar config be made for that screen?
create a new filed entry ME29N by copying ME21N. once created, select me29n and click the details button, change the fields to required/optional/display entry.
