Dear friends ,

We noticed that when we enter item category D - service in the line item of PO the qty of this line item is default to 1 and de unit of measure is EA = Each, and fields become greyed ..so we cannot change values there.

Does anyone knows if is possible to change this behavior ?

Best regards,

Alessandro

Hi,

It is the standard system design for service procurements. This is why because the each and every individual service item has its own Unit of Measurement and this determines the overall value for that PO line item. So the main line item will always have single UOM. But you can change that UOM under transaction code ML91, which will not have any advantage and help you for information purpose apart from any specific business requirement.

Regards,

Hi,

In item level, you can not change & fields will be in grey for Service PO with item category D.This is standard behavior of service PO and you set this already unit of measure ( in your case EA) in ML91 t.code in the field of Unit of Measure in item level field.

Generally for service PO Unit of Measure in item level field is set as "AU" which represent activity unit .AU indicate the complete activities of service like painting, cleaning , construction, repair job which is in item level but you can maintain the service number, service unit of measure, quantity of service in item details required for the activities you mentioned in the item level on the SERVICE PO.You can not change Unit of Measure in service PO in item Overview but you can change service unit of measure, quantity of service in item details.
