MDK Mobile application - QueryOptions - filter - diacritics

In mobile applications like SAP Asset Manager users can filter results. The filter(search in pages) is case insensitive because everything is set - tolower(string). That is good. And then the "query option" is an exact match. But is there a way how to make filters (query option) not exact match - ignoring diacritics?

For example. When a work order is named "Plán" (with diacritics), but a user types the word "Plan" (without diacritics) into a search field, the user gets zero results. It is obvious why, because 'a' != 'á'. But is there a way how to show results with similar words - with diacritics and vice versa?

You would need to write your own rule to do that. If you do a find on VSCode with the keyword "searchString", you will find implementations of how to get the search string and modify it for the query options.

"searchString" is just the name of a variable in javascript. There are supported functions like "substringof" or "tolower". Is there a list of functions which can be used in SQL query?

You misunderstood. I was asking to search the string "searchString" in the code and see the existing implementation. For example, check the rule ChecklistsListViewQueryOptions.js and see how its getting the search string and using it in the query option. You can do similar by customizing the query option to however you like

Yes, and I already checked the code for inspiration. I think what users want is not possible, but I do not know. I gave you an example with "substringof" because this is an inbuilt SQL function most similar to what I need. I could replace characters in the search string, but it makes no sense because the name or id of the object can contain both - characters with or without diacritics.
