Dear

It will be based on the availablity check key in MRP2 view .Check in OPJJ -Availability Check Control -Check wether you have inlcuded in In/Outward Movements- Purchase Req, Purchase Order and Stock in Replishment Lead time , Stock in Transfer (under stock option ) .

Based on this set up , MRP will check the available stock and carry out the Net Requirement calculation for PR,PO etc .

Now , if you have already PO which is a fixed reciept (positive qty ) and will be considered in Net requirement calcualtion .If the requirment is not fullfilled by ur existing stock , then it will generate PR for shortage qty .

Hope this will make u clear

hi pal,

well i was clear that one material cannot have two PO,but when you doing MD01 for specfic group of materials, with V1 as MRp Type and running online regeneration planning we need to go for a mixed MRP that is gross planning requirmenst to be set so that we can create a PR for our future requirments

AS its a special parts transported from one plant to another so its already havinga stock and PO item, due to which PR was taking place after running md01,so we changed the planning to online regenration planning and gone for mixed MRP in material master,

well thanks for your suggestions and solution guys .

Dear ,

NEUPL basically get used duing the Go Live time when u need to run the MRP for the frist time and irrespective of any MRP relevent changes , what ever material are deployed in the Plant /Storage Location /MRP Area , MRP system will plan them.

If you have already run the MRP and still stock to NEUPL ,do not want to maintain there will be MRP relevent changes will be registered in the Planning File and all the materials gets planned through MRP in MD01/MD02/MD03/MDBT , which will be time consuming and it will create procurement proposal (PR/STPR) based on Net Requirement calcualtion -Available stock , Fixed Reciept , Safety Stock .

Hope this is clear for your decesion .

Hi,

Regularly running MRP with "NEUPL" is not advisible. Regenerative Planning, consumes lot of time and memory, so this would affect your system performance. Interms of the process it will not create any adverse effect, except for the only fact that the entire requirement in the system is planned.

Neeti,

Regardless of which type of MRP you run, it is a good practice to periodically update the planning file, since in some cases SAP will fail to create an entry. It also can become internally inconsistent, in which case it needs to be fixed.

Use transactions MDAB and MDRE. I usually set these up in a batch job, and run them once a week.

Hi,

During MRP run by MD01, NUPL is to be used only first time after go live, as there is no planning run before. Materials are entered in planning file after every change related to MRP eg. new requirements, change in requirement date or consumptions of materials below ROL. Then those materials are considered during next planning run.
