Material provision indicator in maintenance order

Hi experts,

I am trying to map the scenario of sending equipment or material to vendor place for repair by putting control key as "PM03" in operation , flagging sub-contracting check box , entering material no in component tab page.Can anyone please explain about the significance of material provision indicator & in my screen only two indicators K & L is populated ? what are the other indicators & how to populate those? My cutomer somtimes use to send spares also along with equipment. please explain in details.I am working in ERP6.0 EHP4 .

Hi,

Try to use control key PM02 for this.

This is because when you tick the checkbox subcontracting in external tab then system tries to create a subcontracting purchase order that has item category "L".

When you have PM03 control key & tick subcontracting, then there is conflict of item categories "D" and "L".

Then in components you have to select "EXCACTLY ONE COMPONENT" that is suitable for sending at vendor site. I mean only one component you have to select & select the material provision indicator as "material to subcontractor".

Other components become sub items automatically to this main item.

Then there is a separate tcode to handle subcontracting goods movements "ADSUBCON" located in menu path MAINTENANCE PROCESSING->ROTABLES MANAGEMENT.

Hi

Thanks for your quick response.

However, even though I used control key PM02 ,still system is not accepting any of the material provsion indicator either "K-material provided by customer" or "L-material provided by vendor" , presently populated only these two indicators.Not the others as you mentioned.

Can you please the reasons behind it? Do I need to do somthing in material master?

Can any one please give some suggestion how can I use the material provsion indicator? as system is not accepting this two type & other type of material provision indicator is anot activated? how can I activate & use?
