Mass change on UOM in MI04

Hi,

In MI04 (Enter Inventory Count), how do we do mass change on the UOM for one whole particular count sheet? The default UOM in MI04 is get from the base unit of measure in master data.

If let say during the inventory count, we want to change it to other alternate UOM during the count entering in MI04 (on one whole particular count sheet), how do we do so?

But transaction MI22 is just for display the physical inventory document? How to mass change the UOM of one whole physical document during the entering?

Hi Sim Phoi Li,

What do you want to do? extend the UOM for alternative unit of measure? to do so use MM02-> additional data-> UOM or seek help for your ABAP developer for faster uploading.

Do you want to change the UOM? you cannot change the UOM if there already inventory exist in the Material Master.

Hi Joven,

I have maintain the alternate UOM for those materials in Master Data.

What I want to do is during the inventory count entering in transaction MI04, I want to do a mass change for the unit of enter (UOM) for one whole inventory document (change from base unit to alternate unit).

For example, in MI04, count sheet 10000001 has 40 materials, the unit of entry is default to M (the base unit of the materials). If lets say during the inventory, we weight the materials in KG, so we have to enter the count qty in KG as well. I want to do a mass change to change the unit of entry from M to KG for one whole count sheet 10000001 (all 40 materials).

Currently, I have to manually change the unit of entry from M to KG line item by line item, if there is 40 materials (40 line items), then I have to change 40 times for 1 count sheet.

Is there a way to do a mass change during the count entering (change 1 time for all the 40 materials, instead of change 40 times)?

The physical inventory can be doneon base UOM only can't be done for Order unit or alter UOM

Hi,

The physical inventory count sheet can only be created on base UOM, but we can change later during the count entering.

Is it that there is no other way to do a mass change on UOM (example from M to KG - from base UOM to altermate UOM) during the count entering?

We have a similar problem - we want to set up an alternative unit of measure on 600+ materials , and we were wondering if anyone has come up with an easy way to do this eg using MASS or MASSD.
