Dear Experts,
Good day.
I would like to inquire about mass-changing Business Partners. Is the app "Start Mass Maintenance - Business Partners" suitable for this purpose? If so, could you please provide guidance on how to prepare the import file?
Additionally, can I use the "Start Mass Maintenance - Business Partners" app to create a vendor role for an existing BP number?
Thank you very much for your assistance.
Best regards
Hi Haily,
If you are using s/4hana cloud public edition (not sure as the tag was removed) you can also use "Manage Mass Maintenance - Business Partners" (F1047A) (this seems to be the superordinate app for "Start Mass Maintenance - Business Partners").
Here you can click Start to create a new process.
Either way, you will need to create an import file. I think the easiest way to do this is to go to 'Export Master Data - Business Partners' (F3251) and export the table "BUT100 - Roles".
The first two rows in the exported table (Excel file) are hidden. The action code column must be visible for the upload to work. It is important to add the action code "I" for insert (capitalisation required). A 'Valid_From' and 'Valid_To' date is also required.
Here is an example adding the role FLCU01 to existing business partners. You may also need FLCU00, which is the Customer Finance role.
Best Regards
Simon

Thank you for your request, @Haily.
Did you know you can find out about SAP Fiori apps and their functional scope in the SAP Fiori App Reference Library, here? Select category "all apps for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition" then use Search or your key words, like e.g. "change Business Partner".
Here is what I found there for you: With this app you can update multiple master data records at a time. The function is available for the product and business partner (including customer and vendor). You can also process business partner relationships. You can use the file upload feature to upload changes to business objects in .CSV or Office Open XML format (using a semi-colon as a delimiter).
Learn more about the app and how to use it from the SAP Help documentation.
If that solved your request, please mark accordingly. Thank you.
