Hello Experts,
I have a small doubt, after Marking Material Prices through CKMLCP do we need to following below steps of Cost Estimate Creation or not :
Regards,
Zain Bashir
Hi,
If there is any changes in activity rates, you need to do it.
If you are following the activity cost splitting approach you will get the actual activity prices based on that you can revise your activity rates.
If there is no change in activity prices need not update the planned prices again.

Hi Zain.
I think that Pavan already helped you, but I will put my point of view.
About activities you have always update their values if any changes occurs.
I saw that you executed mark material price step and have shown that the future standard cost estimate was not updated. I have a customer where we execute this step to take the actual price calculated by Material Ledger and release it as standard price 2 months after the month you are closing. In other words:
Today you are on September closing August. The periodic unit price (actual price) for the material calculated on August will be the standard price for October. During September, you can see the Future price in "Accounting 1" view in transaction MM03:
To release that future price value, we use transaction CKME (as mentioned by Pavan also). The execution is done via background process, where we schedule to execute it in the first day of the month, in the first minutes of the day to avoid any risk of the material to have any movements before the standard price release (if that happen, you cannot release the new standard price).
As additional information, all that explanation that I gave you must be considered that the mark material price step from Material Ledger is executed with option "Beginning of following period".
If you have any further question, please, let us know.
Best Regards
