Maintenance Plan costing

Dear Experts

        when i try to run Maintenance plan costing (IP31) for several maintenance plans i got this error   

This report can only be executed in the background

Message no. IP152

Diagnosis

You have tried to start the program directly.

System Response

The system cannot perform the function.

Procedure

Run the program in the background. To do this, choose Program -> Execute in background.

Hi,

If more that one plan is selected for costing then dialog mode is not allowed. This is prevented for performance reasons and to avoid tying up a dialog process. For multiple plans the report must be executed in background mode only. This can be done as follows:
- Enter selection conditions
- Menu option: Program - Execute in background
- Select print options and schedule to run 'immediately' or at a particular time

Use SM37 to check the job progress and view the spool.
