I would like to know whether it is critical to have a content management catalogue matching the TEM/LSO catalogue or they can be different?

Many thanks

Hi,

Your content management structure does not have to be the same as the course catalogue structure but some customers prefer that they have the same similar structure especially if the author and the training administrator roles are not the same person. By keeping the structure similar it makes it much easier for troubleshooting purposes.

For example, the training admin reports an issue with a certain version of the course under a certain course group. If the course in question resides in a structure totally unrelated to the coursde catalogue, it might make it more difficult to find which course it the actually culprit.

Consider also the fact that the actual title of the course can also be different than the learning net name, this may leave to even further hardship troubleshooting.

Hope this helps
