LSMW - Batch Input session not created for certain users

Hi Everyone,

We have LSMW file for a specific project. If we try to complete all the steps then it is not generating batch session at the last step for certain user Ids where as it is working fine for User ID with higher privilages. Hence this seems to be an authorization issue.

But we could not track anything through SU53 and by enabling ST01 trace. Kindly assist.

Session created for User 1                                                                                          No session created for User 2

You may want to look into OSS note  350045 - LSMW: Bill of material does not exist as it seems it is not a security issue.

In case you are still hanging in old 4.x releases then also review 700228 and 390715

Hi Juergen,

This is issue is resolved. We found out that user doe not have access to release/create the batch input session.

Once we provide the additional authorization in SM35 authorization object user was able to perform this.

Hi Jegan

Do you have multiple application servers and only turned ST01 on one of them? Try with STAUTHTRACE

Is this error happening when you are in LSMW trying to generate the batch or in SM35 trying to process it?
