There are some stock accounts where I have not activated line item display. Now I would like to see what entries are actually hitting these stock accounts " the quantities as well as value."

thanks,

renu.

Hello renuka,

Use transaction code FS00 and go to control data of the G/L account no, then check the "Line Item Display" box and save. You will be able to view the line items. Go To Se38 and Run this program RFSEPA02. Before that you block your GL account. It will solve Your Problem.

Refer Notes 31875 and check if it helps. Text of notes is pasted below.

Symptom

The setting for a G/L account is to be later changed so that the line item display is required even though the G/L account has already been posted. The change is made and the user finds that the total of the items does not correspond to the account balance in the line item display.

Other terms

BSEG-XKRES, SKB1-XKRES, FBL3, SAPF190

Reason and Prerequisites

The subsequent changing of the G/L account master record does not change the documents already posted. Documents that were posted before the master record was changed contain the previous setting (for example, no indicator for line item management).

Effects

Activating the line item display:

Documents that were posted before the change do not contain the indicator for the line item display and are not displayed in it. Totaling in the line item display across all items results in a different account balance from the one in the account balance display.

Solution

Two possible solutions regarding this problem are described below. SAP recommends the first solution because only standard means are used. The second solution requires the usage of a correction report and is therefore a consulting solution.

1. Standard solution

a) Create a new account and make the settings according to your requirements. In particular, set the line item display indicator (SKB1-XKRES).

b) Transfer the items from the old account to the new account. You can only do this for accounts that cannot be automatically posted to. As an alternative, you can also transfer the balance completely.

c) Lock the old account for postings.

2. Consulting solution

a) Manipulate all documents that were posted in the past. You can use correction program RFSEPA01 (contained in the standard system as of Release 3.0D) for this. Read the documentation carefully.

b) For Releases < 3.0D a corresponding correction program is available on SAPSERV3 under /general/R3server/abap/note.0031875. For the import in your system, read Note 13719.

ZZSEPA01: Subsequent activation of line item display

assign points if usefull.

thanks shashikanth , could you please explain briefly about line item.

While creating GL a/c we find a check box "line item display". What is the purpose of that one and how it effects in SAP?

thanks

Line Item Display is used to view the account whenever you take a report. If you create 476000 expense a/c with line item display and book some amount on that. When u go to FBL3N u see the a/c and the amt in the report. It is mainly used for detailed report for each account and the amt booked.

renuka,

By activating the line item display we can drilldown on that account otherwise we cannot.

E.g.: Let’s say if you create an account 10000 with line item display.

Post a document with this account on either debit or credit side. Then go to FS10N and see the balance. When you click on the balance you can go back to the original document which caused this balance. Without line display you cannot go the document detail.

Usually Reconciliation accounts are defined without line item display.

hope this will help you.

But, for Stock Account , how should be managed the flag "line item dispay"? Is there a relationship with the activation of GR/ IR? thanks, Giulia

Hi Renuka,

You can change the settings of the GL Account in TCode FS00 where you can turn the line item display on now. However this wont result in display of line item in Standard report - FBL3N. The only way would be to get a custom report created from ABAPers using data from Table BKPF and BSEG.

Any entry posted to the GL Account post the change would result in data updation in Table BSIS so that you would be able to view line item report.

I hope this helps.
