Hi,

Can someone tell me what is Lead time Scheduling and how are the production dates calculated.? How will system consider the Basic dates and floats defined in Schedule Margin Key in defining the production dates. What is the use of Individual operation timings defined in Routing and how will system consider these in calculating the production dates

I am totally confused. Please explain.

Regard's,

Uday.

Hi,

Please check the below link:

http://scn.sap.com/thread/2129494

The use of Individual operation timings defined in Routing is to calculate lead time scheduling for production order.

System consider the Basic dates and floats defined in Schedule Margin Key for defining the production dates from the material master MRP2 view from In-house production, Planned Deliv. Time and SchedMargin key.

Hi,

Basic date scheduling equal to Opening period from SMK (MRP2) + Inhouse production time (MRP2)+ GR processing time (MRP2).

Leadtime scehduling equal to Float before production from SMK  + Operation time from routing + Float after production from SMK.

Depends on the selection in MRP control parameter in Scheduling field, system will do basic dates or lead time calculation.
