Last goods receipt for plant materials being migrated from legacy to SAP

Hi,

I require to capture the last goods receipt date for materials in plant as its being migrated from legacy to SAP.

This is to calculate the Slow moving items/Surplus stock etc.

Any ideas as to if this data can be populated when we migrate across to SAP?

Thanks,

SS

Hi

You can think of using some text fields such as internal comment in the material master and you can develop a custom report using the FM READ_TEXT to retrieve the data.

Hi Shilpa,

If you are planning to use lsmw to migrate data then you can use Document Date and ensure that there is only material line item in lsmw

Later on you can check the report through mb51 to fetch reports

Alternatively, if not then either use the text field as mentioned by Ganapathy for line item details or create a custom field

Hope this helps

Hi Shilpa,

Design your lsmw such that there is only one material line item in a single row. Hence you will have one material document per material uloaded with movement type 561

Now your requirement is that you want to identify last goods receipt date, which you can capture in "Document Date". Posting date is the date wherein you can capture the FI period to which is to be posted which will probably the last date before which the migration is done

Later on when you run mb51, you can very well see the document date and posting date, hence you can conclude that the document date is the last goods receipt date. Just filter with movement type in 561 and hence you will get all the relavant data as required by you

Thank You

Nishu

Hi,

Check in t.code with 561 movement type.

1.  Transaction code:S_P00_07000139

2.Transaction code:MB51

Hi,

We came across this in the past. We can get the info in multiple ways:

1. Use table: MSEG passing material, Plant combinations and get the material document numbers. Use this material document numbers in MKPF table. For these entires you can check the posting dates.

2. Use MB51 for the required combination of Materials and Plant.

Hi Shilpa,

By Last Goods Receipt date i believe you are refering to the posting date of the Goods Receipt Document. you can view the last GR date in Mb51 report for a particular material with movement type 101 and descending the posting date in the output.
