Language Conversion

Hi ,

I have maintained the Material group description in English . We I do the Login using Language ENI can able to see the Material group description. When I do the Log in in DE I am not able to see the Material Description maintained by me,but surprising I can see the Description of Std Material group like (01,02)

Am I missing someting ?? How can I convert the Description to DE.

choose from menu TRANSLATION > Short texts

open A1 application texts,

double click TABL

Enter T023T , select source language and target language, click EDIT

name of object will change automatically

click again EDIT

enter selection for your material groups and execute

double click first entry and maintain the translation.

repeat this step for second entry .....

Hi Dost,

We cant view the description which we have maintained in english language when we log on in german language.

e.g.

Logistics - General>Material Master>Settings for Key Fields>Data Relevant to Sales and Distribution>Define Material Groups-->material group1

select any material group & hit F1, Click on technical information. Click on option table name under field data. Slect Tab table/join conditions.Select table TVM1T.After selecting it hit ctrlshiftF10. You can see the table.In language filed you can put EN or DE or any language you want & execute it. After executing you can see the materials group decription for that perticular language only. because that filed is language specific filed. Please check it. If this information is enough then please give me the points.

Hi Jürgen L,

As per your suggestion I am doing. I am selcting the Source Lang EN & Target Lang DE.

Then I am getting the following Error Message.

Incorrect Codepage

Message no. SAPMTRAN010

Can u pl. giude me What to do for this ??

HI,

you can use SUMG transcaction for that particular table.

lock the table

and execute the language assignment and save
