In J1IIN , we have option exc inv for delivery - what is the relevance of this

You can create excise invoice referencing delivery document also by selecting the option what you have mentioned. Of course, b4 creating this excise invoice, you should have generated billing document.

Hi,

Excise Invoice for delivery tab is provided in tomost menu for the creation of invoice w. r. t. Delivery doc. If you want the invoice w. r. t. billing doc then you click on Excise Invoice .

But while creating excise invoice reference to delivery , before that you must have to create billing document.
