Can anybody tell me quickly Item Category path in Purchasing documents quickly?

Hi,

SPRO -> Material Mangement - > purchasing --> Define External Representation of Item Categories

here you can create or edit item categories in purchasing documents

The item categories are predefined by SAP. You can just change their external representation.

hi,

Spro --> Materials management --> Purchasing --> Purchase requisition --> define document types --> here for each document type you can find allowed item categories.

Spro --> Materials management --> Purchasing --> Purchase order --> define document types --> here for each document type you can find allowed item categories.

u can define item categories in spro-mmpurcahsing -

sap has already created enough cat. but if u wan u can create from there

the path given above posts is not to crate the item categories but that is to allow the item categ. for a documen type

hi,

item category are difined in SPRO setting for document types of PR and PO.

while creating the purchase order, u will get the same in next to account assignment category column.
