What is mean by IS - Mill Product? what is purpose of IS-Mill in SAP plz give me sutiable example releated to this

IS-Mill? What is need for this customizing suppose i am not customizing then what happen?

Hi DB & others,

I'm new to the IS-Mill (with APO) functionality. Understand that, in order to accomodate the one prodn order to multiple sales order assignment link there is a functionality to define a DUMMY product to which all the other actual materials are then linked as co-products.

Can some one explain a bit more on this??

I have never implemented Mill products, so I cannot speak from experience. Mill products has several enhancements that support additional features in the area of co-products.

I don't really understand your question. One does not need 'Mill products' to create a DUMMY material, and then assign co-products. If you are talking about production order settlement, there are a couple of additional settlement rules that support co-products. If you are talking about Characteristics-based-planning against MTS, I am told that IS-Mill plus APO does support this.

IS MILL is complete package for Steel or mining industry: it include, CRM, APO, SCM, GTS Suite with R3. Complete suite for Mining and Steel Industry.
