Hi Leon,

About your situation:

If you try to make visible a field that is unvisible in the form settings, the code column.visible = true will not work.

This situation is mentioned here:

https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/61604

And is present on the UI Help file:

The other way is to change the settings by the sdk as you mentioned. Below a link with a sample code(I didn't try to run the this code, hope it's working).

Hi, Diego

Thanks for your reply.

You seem to be telling me that the only way to make columns in/visible in system forms is to use Form Settings.

When you do the settings manually, they give immediate effect.

But when you change the settings by SDK, these changes take place only after you log out of SAP and log in again.

This is what I read from all posts, but these posts are very old. Are you aware if the situation has changed with new versions of SAP?

Can we now change form settings by SDK that result in immediate effect?

Best Regards,

Leon

Hi Leon,

I never have used this approach, I just had read about. I have tested now the code provided in the link on the SAP B1 9.1 PL 11, and unfortunately the changes made by SDK just work on the next log in of the user.
