Is it possible to include configurations done in a Fiori app for aATP or records created in a TR?

Dear experts,

From past experiences I was never able to find out a way to move data records or configurations that are only done in Fiori apps from my DEV environment to TESTING and Production. However, I would like to know if any of you can confirm that indeed is not possible or if there is any possible way to do it.

I am thinking for example on the Manage Charactestic Combination app or even moving a high number of records created for product substitution. I was thinking that, if not possible, my only option would be to download these into excel and upload it by including in the desired apps this option.

Regards

Hi papa261190,

Is it possible to include configurations done in a Fiori app for aATP or records created in a TR?

-> Unfortunately not, some objects (e.g. BOP variants) require the generation of some coding in your system or the system generates GUIDs & dependent further table entries for each new CVC. Just transporting these objects does not generate code or generates the required GUIDs / objects.

For a high number of records created for product substitution you can e.g. download/upload them via excel and report "OVD_CVC_MASS_MAINT" or use an API to create these entries.

best regards,

Michael

Thanks a lot Michael!!!

I didn't know about that report so far but I was reading in some blogs that all Fiori Apps can be extended to use the download/upload to excel functionality for mass uploading and then I was thinking to try and enhance these fiori apps for this purpose as well (see https://community.sap.com/t5/technology-blogs-by-sap/how-to-mass-upload-from-a-spreadsheet-file-into...)

On the other side, I didn't know about this report and it matches perfectly with my needs in regards to aATP 🙂 THanks a lot for the tip!!!!!
