After configuring the test tenant, the customer asked for changes in the Order types and Production scheduling profile. We have created new order types as per their request. But now the problem is that we want to remove the unwanted order types & Production scheduling profiles.
So is it possible to delete the order types from S4Hana public cloud?
If not possible, do we have any other options to stop the user from selecting those that are obsolete?
Thanks for your suggestions!
How are you? When you access the Self Service Configuration User Interface (SSCUI) "Define Production Order Types" (ID: 102004), you see that there is no option to delete the Production Order Types. This is to avoid inconsistencies of Production Orders if you delete Production Order Types and try to use Production Order With Deleted Production Order Types.
In case the Production Order Types were not used yet in any Production Order and were removed from Production Scheduling Profiles in Customizing Tenant, Test Tenant and Production Tenant in a 3SL (Three System Landscape) or in Quality Tenant and Production Tenant in a 2SL (Two System Landscape), you can submit an Expert Configuration Request for the Deletion of the Production Order Types that are not needed anymore.
Otherwise, if it is not possible, I recommend that you change the description of the Production Order Types that are not need anymore to "Obsolete/Do Not Use".
