Hi,

I have 2 question to seek advice.

1 May I know what is the difference of investment management IM and project system PS?

2 As WBS is from PS, what is the relationship of IM and PS?

Thanks

Hi,

IM is for Investment activities of an organization. For example you want to construct no. of assets (could be expense too) and you want to plan, budget and monitor together. You can create the Investment program for this and each such asset may be Position ID which is assigned to Program measure.

Measure could be defined as order or WBS elements, for example.

However PS is a tool for project management, ie. Plan, Budget, execute and monitor.

One can plan for Resources, time, cost, material and services. One can perform scheduling, etc.

Difficult to summarise in short though.

2. Investment Management - Measures could be WBS Elements.

Hope this helps.

Regards, R
