Hi Gurus,

We had an audit done by external party and in there findings we had some number ranges which are external and now we got to make our all the number ranges for all the sales document Z* (SO, Del & Invoice) into internal number range.

Can you please guide me with steps involved in doing so?? Do we use VN01 or else??

Thanks in advance & Best Regards

create the number ranges in t.code VN01, and assign them in the difinitiobn of the documents like

for sales documents, give it in VOV8 (define sales documents type)

for delivery documents, give it in 0VLK (define delivery document types)

for billing documents, give it in VOFA (define billing document types)

here in all documents type u give internal and external number ranges, but if u dont want to use only internal number range, then dont give any number range in external column, so that user cannot give his own number externally. this is better option.

Hi Bawa,

VOV8 - sales document types

0VLK - Delivery document types

VOFA - billing document types

You can see internal and external no ranges.

Maintain internal no ranges, save.

Yes in VN01, you can maintain the number range and assign the same in

- VOV8 for Sale Orders

- OVLK for Delivery

- VOFA for Billing

Thanks everyone for replying!

Just one more thing to ask, so this means I got to go in each document type (hundreds) and take off ext number range id provided. Or, is there any other Tx I can use to do it?

Kindly reply...

Through VN01 itself u can do this.Define your own number range and intervals and then assign it to the sales doc in VOV8.
