Inspection characteristics not visible for inprocess inspection

Dear PP, QM Gurus.

We have a scenario wherein we carry out inprocess inspection for a material after the second operation in the recipe .

Inspection type 03 has been activated .

Inspection plan has been attached in the recipe on appropriate

operation .

When the process order is released an inspection lot is correctly created with status rel.calc . However when we go for result recording the characteristics are not shown in the result recording screen .

This happens only for a specific materials .

We have checked all the settings and have found nothing wrong in the settings .

Hi ,

Please check the samlpling procedure you have assigned in the inspection plan , and check the validity of your inspection plan ,also check the task list selection id for the inspection plan you have created based on the usage and status you have given while creating the inspection plan.

U check the following settings

1) u first check the control key u have assigned in the routing is ticked for QM inspection type

2) Assign insp char in routing

As regards to control key its the same as that for other cases where it works .. Though it doesn't have inspection characteristics required it has confirmation required and other scheduling related requirement .And it is workin fine for other materials .

Rest all has been checked .

Another input is if I try to access the lot from qa03 it gives a message "the lot not created" but it can be seen in qa33 with red indicator .

Two things to try:

1) if you create a new process order from scratch, does the lot show up properly? I.e. is this a one time occurance? Or is it happenning all the time. Is it the same for all materials, or just this one material.

2) Where exactly are you seeing the red light? What screen and where on the screen?

This happenes only for one material . For all the process orders created for that material .

I see the red light as I access this lot from qa33.I see it in system status .

As I have mentioned earlier this lot cannot be accessed through qa03

Hi,

I think u must be geeting red light in qa33 in monitor column.

According Sap It has following meaning

There are 5 possible settings for the traffic light:

1)According to start dateIf the start date has passed, the traffic light is red.

If the start date corresponds to the current date, the traffic light is yellow.

If the start date has not yet been reached, the traffic light is green.

2)According to end date

If the end date has passed, the traffic light is red.

If the end date corresponds to the current date, the traffic light isyellow.

If the end has not yet been reached, the traffic light is green.

3)According to the degree of processing for the inspection lot

If the usage decision is due to be made (that means, the end date has been reached and no usage decision has been made), the traffic light is red.

If the usage decision is not due to be made, the traffic light is yellow.

If the usage decision has already been made, the traffic light is green

4)According to open characteristicsIf there are open short-term characteristics, the traffic light is red

If there are only long-term characteristics, the traffic light is yellow

5)If there are no open characteristics, the traffic light is green

According to open quantities

If quantities are open, the traffic light is red

If there are no quantities open, the traffic light is green

Thanks Amol for this information.

One can there for imagine why the indicator is red but we are stillnot able to trace the reason for this .

we have taken two materials, one under consideration and the other working fine . In both the cases the settins in the material master, recipe are perfectly same and yet this issue is coming for the said material .
