Hi,

Can someone give me a clear understanding (Preferably with screenshots) on the Control Recipes, Control Recipe Destinations and Process Message Characteristics in PI Sheets

I am new to Process Industries part of PP, and I tried to create a PI Sheet but with no luck.

I followed the following document shared on SCN but I get stuck at points 2 and 4 (Control Recipes, Control Recipe Destinations and Process Message Characteristics)

Thanks,

Hi Neelesh,

Control recipe carries all the information (process instructions) that are passed from Process Order to PI sheet. It gets created by executing following button in Process Order:

Control recipe destination is a key that is created in customizing with t code O10C & assigned to Master recipe as shown below.

Process messages are used to send actual data from external system or shop floor to pre defined destinations (Process Message destinations). The customizing settings are maintained in O13C

Please refer to below flow that shows how information flows from process order to PI sheets through control recipes and comes back to ERP/ process order through process messages.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Rohit

Wonderful explanation to get started. Thanks ! This post is 10 years old though. I wonder if this is still used!
