Increase the useful life of an asset with a new depreciation key interval

Hi All,

Lets say, there is an asset with value 10,000 EUR with a scrap value of 1000, EUR and Useful life of 5 years (Straight line). In the 5th year, when the asset gets to its scrap value of 1000 EUR, we want to extend the Useful life of the asset by lets say 2 years and then depreciate it fully per straight line (500 EUR per year) . Can we achieve this by adding a new interval ? I added a new interval but it doesnt extend the useful life of the asset and depreciates fully in 5th year

Yes this is possible, you should be able to enter a new useful life into a new interval.

Screenshots are attached. If i take this example - the original UL was 5 years and if i want to extend it by another 2 years , then the 2nd time interval will have UL as 5+2 = 7 years?
