Dear Experts,i tried to user MR21 to change price in material master, but got the error message "inconsistency checked between material master and material ledger?
Whats is relationship of price bewteen material master and material ledger, can those two price be different?
thanks
Hiya,
"Post Closing" using CKMLCP updates the Material Master "Periodic Unit Price" and the "Value/Periodic Unit Pr" fields (Accounting 1).
Since your ML is active, the system does not appreciate your changing the price mid-month.
Have you run a Standard Cost Estimate for the current period? It is easier to change the price for the material when you have a marked standard cost estimate or have maintained a future price.
Have you tried using LTPC?
Cheers.

Hiya,
- What are you planning to do here?
- What is the Price Determination in use (2 or 3)?
- Since ML is active, is the Price Control of the material is "S"?
When ML is active, it gets update with all material movements during the month. At month-end, you can then perform ML closing to update your COGS and Stock accounts with the Actual Costs.
Normally you would use MR21 to maintain a price change or, in some cases, to input a Standard Cost Estimate for a material during a period in which material movements have already taken place.
If you provide some details, I may be able to help better.
Cheers.

Yes,the material price control is S
i know you perform ML closing to update COGS and Stock, does Updating Stock mean the price in material master changed? or the price in ML changed?
