Hi ,

Inbound delivery does not necessarily mean goods receipt. INBOUND DELIVERY in SAP pertains to all incoming goods, which may refer to either a vendor delivery or a return of a rejected delivery to a customer. It may cover the schedules of deliveries from your vendors/suppliers or even a rejected delivery to a customer.

Outbound delivery

You use this business process in order to support all shipping activities like picking, packing, transport and goods issue. All information regarding shipping planning is stored in outbound delivery, the status of shipping activities is monitored, and data gathered during the course of shipping processing is recorded. By creating outbound delivery, shipping activities are started, and data is transferred that is generated during shipping processing.

Create outbound delivery - pick and pack goods - post goods issue - execute transpotation

Thanks

Hi

A process of receiving an inbound delivery of goods at a receiving area.

This process includes the subsequent putaway and the increase in stock quantity. The inbound delivery process begins with staging the goods at the vendor's shipping point and ends when the goods receipt posting is made by the goods recipient (ship-to party).

In the SAP System, this operation is represented by the inbound delivery document that is generated with reference to the:

Purchase order

Shipping notification

Customer return

outbound delivery

The process of picking goods, reducing the storage quantity, and shipping the goods.

The outbound delivery process begins with goods picking and ends when the goods are delivered to the recipient.

In the SAP System, this operation is represented by the outbound delivery document that is generated during the following activities:

Goods shipment based on a sales order

Stock transfer order

Goods return to the vendor
