Hi

If u tick the indicator Start in past allowed then system will allow the order start date in past while doing Back ward scheduling the no of days we define in OPU3 (Scheduling parameters for orders) otherwise system will switch over to forward Scheduling considering Today's date as order start date

Dear,

Start date in paste allowed means if you have lead time 10 to manufacture the product and you have define order finish date as 15/06/2009 - 10 days your production time teh your order start day will be 05/06/2009 but today's date is 08/06/2009 means 3 days back word so if you want to schedule backward and system should not start farward scheduling if date goes into past then we use the start date in past allowed in OPPQ.

Also if you want only no of days in past that you define in OPU5 and OPU3 here no of days Start in the Past.

Hope clear to you.

Hi,

Start date of order proposals allowed in the past

This indicator defines that the system does not automatically switch to forward scheduling if the order start date lies in the past for determining the basic dates. With this indicator, backward scheduling is always used to determine the basic dates, even if the start date lies in the past.

e.g Bacward scheduling type, Today date is 08.06.2009

If u give basic finish date say 25.06.2009,and system propose you basic start date in 06.06.2009. That is 06.06.2009 is lies in past date.In this case system propose you forward scheduling.Means order basic start date is 08.06.2009 .If you don't want to system propose you for forward scheduling tick mark Start in past in OPPQ.

Hope this clear you.

Regards,

Raja.

Hi,

Start in past:

genrally when you create an order with the backward sceduling then u will give the finished date and it calculates the start date..and if lies in the past it throws u an warning msg tht start date is in past...

but if u check that then it turns back to forward sceduling and u need to give a start date

Hope its clear
