Hi,

Possibly you can set the 'change document' indicator at data element level. This would be element AUSWK. See the example outlined in note 441323.

Hi Paul,

We have tried that and not able to edit the data element through SE11 eventhough tried with access key.

Is any other method to activate the change document for AUSWK. Please suggest.

Thanks.

Hi,

I did this as follows:

Run SE11
Enter data type AUSWK
Select 'Change' icon
Enter on warning and other messages
Select 'Further Characteristics' tab
Click on the 'change document' flag .... Yes, it is in display only mode
Select the 'change subobject' (Shift+F11) icon
Set value 'X' in the popup box
Enter
Save and activate

Discuss with your database/basis team if necessary. Test the concept on a sandbox or similar to ensure it does update the change log from notifications.

Hi Paul,

Thank you very much. We have activated the change document for the field AUSWK and able to view the changes of this in IW22 and at table level as well.

Kindly clearify is any other way to view the changes which were made for the field AUSWK previously.

It will help us to resolve this.

Thanks.

Hi,

No, there is no way in which earlier changes can be seen. The changes just have not been recorded.

CSR,

Not all fields are covered by change documents...

However, you can develop a solution to add additional information to the change log.

See if you can change the data element in SE11. There is an indicator to log changes. But the changes are logged in a different table.
