How to trigger IDOC based on status change on Material (integration question)

Hello,

I'd like to trigger an integration for Material sync in S4HANA cloud edition but only for cases when Material reaches status 71 or 72. When this happens, I'd like to send an IDOC to my integration platform.

Could you guys please let me know what are my options to do this a which option is the best? I believe I'd have to setup some sort of custom trigger in Material master?

Just a brain-dump: You could set up a DRF (Data Replication Framework) replication based on communication scenario SAP_COM_0009.

In the filter definition (separate step from creating the communication arrangement), you can then define filter to only include business objects with "cross-plant material status" 71 or 72.

This would then trigger replication whenever a product with these status is created/changed (so not only when the status 71/72 is first set).
