How to tackle Quality Issues after UD?

Hi SAP Gurus!

The scenario is such that, the business is using sampling procedure in inspection lot. Take the below case for example:

The GR is of 100 Qty (Incoming inspection with percentage sample 10%.)

Inspection lot triggered for the GR will be of 10 Qty as per sampling procedure.

The inspection lot was checked and UD was "Accepted".

Later when the stock was moved to the production line (50 Qty) there were some rejections (This can be mapped with Production GR inspection)

Later the quality team decides to do a recheck of the remaining 50 Qty and found that there are more rejections.

How to handle this?

I guess the team can create Manual Inspection Lot for the 50 qty and check it. If there are any issues a quality notification can be triggered and team can block the stock there.

Is there any better approach? Since business will recover the rejections (melt it in furnace) and re-use it.

I am new to SAP QM, would appriciate your input on this.

This is a good way to deal with the problem. The material situation is analyzed from the manual inspection lot (origin 89) and dealt with in greater depth with the quality notification.

Another possibility is to activate control type 08 for the material and move the goods to a warehouse (it can be the same one). This will keep the material in quality control.
From there, simply proceed with the analysis and decision on use, record defects and, if necessary, process the material with quality notification.

If you are going to analyze the material with a task list, remember to enable the options (in the control type control parameterization) indicated in the attached image:

Thank you and I hope I helped.
