How to stop data transfer from Function location to installed Equipments ?

Hi,

Now the data is transferred from functional locations to the equipments installed on this Functional location.

How to stop data transfer from Function location to installed Equipments ?

Hi,

To now break the inheritance link between equipment fields and functional location fields, you can dismantle and reinstall. As mentioned above when installing again, select 'install w. data transfer' and then set the inheritance flags to 'equipment data'.

Alternatively, if you change a value directly at equipment level (in IE02) this field will be delinked from the functional location and will not inherit from the f/l again. If you need to do this for a number of fields across a range of equipments then maybe mass change option in IE05 could be used.

Hi

Go to change equipment IE02 - go to edit & then data origin list. Here you will find the list of fields which can be individually maintained or from superior equipment or functional location

When you create equipment you will find that data origin list is not there & all fields are individually maintained. When you install it inFL you will find option to install with data transfer (button) click on the button you will get a detail screen & various radio buttons where you can chose to transfer data from FL or not
