i tried as shown in screen shot and created a new catagory.

now can some one tell me how this new catagory is connected to valuation class assign in material master?

or can i use any valuation class with any catagory?

in t.code OMWN, you link the valuation category with the account category reference. valuation class is linked with account category reference via t.code:OMSK.

Split valuation

T-Code OLMW this will take you to valuation and account assignment > Split valuation activatate split valuation

Configure Split Valuation goto global category under which u can set up valuation category
