We have just emptied a storage location with stocks, and our company wants to block that
certain storage location from goods movement in case it'll be accidentally use.
As I have learned, one way to "block" a SLOC is to flag for deletion the materials.
Since that particular SLOC contain thousands of materials, MM06 is out of question.
I have encountered MM17, but the problem is, I'm not familiar with it.
Any idea how to use it? If possible step by step.
Any info would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Ellainne
I understand you want to remove the materials or set deletion flag for materials only at storage location level and not at client level..
- MM17 - Tables - select "Storage location data for material (MARD)"and execute
- copy/paste all your materials with multiple selection screen and execute and also enter the storage location which you want to delete
- Mass maintenance screen - click "select fields" tab just below the heading "storage location data for material" and select the field "DF at storage level"
- now select the column "DF at sloc level" and enable "DF at sloc level" in the new values and click mass change..
Now these materials will be deleted only at specified sloc level

Hi Don!!!
Thanks for the steps that you have given, it worked.
But since I only want it deleted at the SLOC, i used MARD-LVORM
DF stor.loc.lvl.
